Where the work happens

Four pillars — education, healthcare, empowerment and peace — delivered through practical, community-rooted programmes.

Pillar 01

Education

Opening classroom doors that poverty would otherwise close.

KMF established a Bursary Fund that has supported over 2,000 beneficiaries: 1,000 learners in high schools, more than 400 in middle colleges and approximately 500 in universities. The Fund keeps promising students in class from Form One through graduation.

Pillar 02

Healthcare

Care that reaches patients where they are.

The Foundation makes donations to health facilities and supports AIDS health and welfare programmes, homes for orphans and feeding programmes. It supplements medicare for needy patients and internally displaced persons (IDPs), and runs mobile telemedicine clinic projects to reach underserved communities.

Pillar 03

Empowerment

Skills, tools and markets for self-reliance.

KMF boosts the agricultural sector and integrates alternative agriculture-enhancing technologies. Its Entrepreneurial Youth Mentorship Programmes and alternative economic activities give young people and smallholders practical routes out of poverty.

Pillar 04

Peace

The foundation every other pillar stands on.

A peaceful country that observes democratic practices is a nation destined for a great future. Peace drives economic growth and safeguards the observance of human rights for all citizens — which is why peace-building runs through everything KMF does.
